Hi my name is Chris Shaltis.  It all started when I was around 14 years old, hearing the rock music of the late 70’s and 80’s inspired me to want to be a part of it.

I began playing guitar around this time and rode my bicycle to the local music store where I grew up in New Jersey.  I bought my first $50.00 acoustic guitar with money I had saved up from my paper route.  This thing was awful but it got me started on the journey. 

I’ve always had a keen interest in knowing how things work and have always enjoyed working with my hands and taking things apart to “figure out” how they work, including my guitars.  Although my initial endeavors and “experiments” were not always successful, I’ve learned a lot over the last 30+ years.

I’ve trained under several master luthiers, and continue to study and hone my craft.
